Prerequisites

  1. USB Drive (required for password recovery)
  2. Access to printer interface
  3. Administrator privileges
Overview

There are three essential settings that need to be configured:

  1. Security Settings
  2. Developer Settings
  3. SSH Access
USB Drive Location

Insert the USB drive into the port located on the top right front of the E2. This is required for password recovery purposes.

Step 1: Enabling Secure Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings (cogwheel icon in the top right of the homescreen)
  2. Select "More settings"
  3. Navigate to "Privacy and Security"
  4. Click on "Secure Settings"
  5. Enable the Secure Settings using Secure password
  6. Click on "Secure password" and set it to: lutracad
Password Security

Make sure to store this USB drive in a safe place. The USB drive will be needed for recovery if the password is forgotten.

Step 2: Enabling SSH Access

  1. Return to "More Settings"
  2. Navigate to "Privacy and Security"
  3. Select "SSH Settings"
  4. Enable the "Enable SSH Server" checkbox
  5. Click on "SSH password"
  6. Set the password to: lutracad

Step 3: Enabling Developer Mode

  1. Return to "More Settings"
  2. Click on "Developer"
  3. Enable the "Enable Remote Access API" checkbox
  4. Click on "Access Password"
  5. Set the password to: lutracad
Quick Reference

All three sections require the password: lutracad

  • Secure Settings password
  • SSH password
  • Developer Access password

Step 4: Configure LutraCAD

  1. Open LutraCAD software
  2. Navigate to: Account > Settings > 3D Printer > Network Printers
  3. Click on "Find printer" button
  4. LutraCAD will now search for printers in the network
  5. Select the correct printer in the dropdown
  6. Click on "Select"
  7. Fill in desired printer name
  8. Click on "Save" to complete the setup

Step 5: Verify Connection

When successfully connected, LutraCAD will be able to:

  • Upload files directly to the printer
Troubleshooting

If the connection fails:

  1. Verify that both printer and computer are on the same network
  2. Double-check the IP address and passwords
  3. Try restarting both the printer and LutraCAD
