Prerequisites
- USB Drive (required for password recovery)
- Access to printer interface
- Administrator privileges
Overview
There are three essential settings that need to be configured:
- Security Settings
- Developer Settings
- SSH Access
USB Drive Location
Insert the USB drive into the port located on the top right front of the E2. This is required for password recovery purposes.
Step 1: Enabling Secure Settings
- Navigate to Settings (cogwheel icon in the top right of the homescreen)
- Select "More settings"
- Navigate to "Privacy and Security"
- Click on "Secure Settings"
- Enable the Secure Settings using Secure password
- Click on "Secure password" and set it to:

Password Security
Make sure to store this USB drive in a safe place. The USB drive will be needed for recovery if the password is forgotten.
Step 2: Enabling SSH Access
- Return to "More Settings"
- Navigate to "Privacy and Security"
- Select "SSH Settings"
- Enable the "Enable SSH Server" checkbox
- Click on "SSH password"
- Set the password to:

Step 3: Enabling Developer Mode
- Return to "More Settings"
- Click on "Developer"
- Enable the "Enable Remote Access API" checkbox
- Click on "Access Password"
- Set the password to:

Quick Reference
All three sections require the password: lutracad
- Secure Settings password
- SSH password
- Developer Access password
Step 4: Configure LutraCAD
- Open LutraCAD software
- Navigate to: Account > Settings > 3D Printer > Network Printers
- Click on "Find printer" button
- LutraCAD will now search for printers in the network
- Select the correct printer in the dropdown
- Click on "Select"
- Fill in desired printer name
- Click on "Save" to complete the setup
Step 5: Verify Connection
When successfully connected, LutraCAD will be able to:
- Upload files directly to the printer
Troubleshooting
If the connection fails:
- Verify that both printer and computer are on the same network
- Double-check the IP address and passwords
- Try restarting both the printer and LutraCAD
